Announcing Fargonia

Posted on October 15, 2009

After working with Virtual Manager for more than 5 years, I last year decided to start up a new project on the side. Today, I very proud to present for you all, Fargonia:

Fargonia is multiplayer real time strategy game mixed with some concepts known from role playing games. You play the role as a governor who must control a number of citizens. Your job is to control your villagers to maximize the productivity of your colony. You can join (or found) a nation with other governors. Nation government member control each nation’s income tax and the like. Government members are elected by members of a nation every 30 days.

The best part is that the game is playable via your browser. The game client is written entirely in Javascript using Comet for live push connection with the server. No need for Flash, Java, or other plugins at all.

As you might have guessed the game is not yet ready for the public. For info/updates about the game, please checkout http://fargonia.com (we’ll be needing some beta testers soon :)).
